His Warrior name can be broken down into two parts - a prefix and a suffix. The prefix stands for the hollow tree in which he was born within out in VentusClan territory. The suffix stands for the place where he and his mentor worked hard to finish off his training - by a high mountain brook. It was also there that he was taught how to fight.

Hollowstar, if anything, is a very independent cat. It's not that he doesn't like other cats, but he doesn't really care to socialize much. Oddly enough, the young warrior does like to talk and to listen. He will let an elder talk his ear off for hours while other cats flock about him with their various problems. His mind is very complex and he is quite thoughtful. He even knows simple herbs used to heal his clanmates since he spent an entire moon in the medicine cat den helping the medicine cat as he managed about with his injury.
This large tabby tom was quite small as an apprentice and often wondered if he would ever grow. Knowing what it's like to be the tiniest of them all helps him be one of the biggest of them all these days. The little grace he retained helps him on a daily basis. He has excellent tree climbing ability and does so in his free time when he's not sent out on patrols and such.
Loyalty means everything to him. Before his time, his mother was unfaithful to her mate, Darkfur, and never told him that he wasn't the true father of little Hollowkit. This bothers him still as does stealing prey, out of Clan relationships of the intimate or loving kind, infractions of the Warrior Code (even the minor ones), and lying to your clanmates because you made a mistake. Honesty is the only thing that works with Hollowstar. Anything else is nothing better than dirt and you will be punished for doing so. If you lie about breaking the Warrior Code or even break it, you will be punished all the same.
Occasionally, his curiosity that he's carried with him since birth will get the best of him and he might pester someone with questions if they've caught his attention. If something suspicious is taking place and Hollowstar catches a whiff of it, he'll investigate and find out. This may appear nosy, but he's your leader and you need to respect him. Really, his appearance, his personality, and his rank of warrior demands respect from everyone in the Clans, but it isn't always what he ends up getting. Those who don't respect him mean nothing to him.
Fighting, bickering, even scuffles make him irritable. If VentusClan is getting on the bad side of either Clan, he'll get uneasy and might just snap at any cats around him quite randomly and for nearly no reason. He's the boss. You don't challenge him or his actions unless you have indisputable evidence or reason to. Of course, if someone thinks differently or as an idea, he's very much so open-minded about those. But, if it's a punishment or he's just done something sketchy, ignore it. It'll save you the time and the harassment.
Hunting gets this big boy excited. It's the one thing that he knows he's good at and it's been that way since he was Hollowpaw. Thanks to both of his 'fathers', he learned to be good at one thing. Hollowstar is most likely to be seen leading a hunting patrol than a border patrol as they make him uneasy as his best friend and first love died on the border. The young leader's more likely to be found, in good weather, out in VentusClan territory than in their camp. In bad weather, he stays close to his darling little den. That's just how he rolls.
To all of his Clan, he is a kind but strong, strict, and fair leader. He tries to hear everyone's side of the story before he makes a very big decision. Hollowbrook is a born leader even though he doesn't know it. Cracking under pressure is normal, but he handles it well so far. To his friends, he's a pretty happy-go-lucky tom-cat like he used to be as an apprentice. Really, when he thinks about it, he finds himself a different cat now than he was before and respects that about himself. The fact that he changed and matured to handle the situations surrounding him is a very good thing.
One look from him will send a shock right down your spine, if you're afraid of the tom, of course. Not everyone finds him as terrifying as he likes to believe he is. That's one thing that shows that he's still childish inside, but that will probably never go away. To be blunt, Hollowstar doesn't give a flying rubber duck what you think about him. He is what he is and he's not going to change for anyone. Not even a she-cat.
Passionate emotions of all kinds make him want to go wreak havoc somewhere to distract himself. Hopefully that doesn't mean he'll go kill anyone since he doesn't believe in murdering for your own gain. Sure, he might threaten or joke about killing some cat, but he really won't. The one form of passion this tom has been able to control is his love. When he truly loves a cat, he will show them that he does in as many ways as possible. Hollowstar can be very sweet, caring, and kind.
His anger is as fierce as his dappled olive gaze. When someone ticks him off, Hollowstar with puff out his chest, raise his hackles high and menacingly, and try to scare the living mouse-dung out of you. If that doesn't work, he'll flatten his ears down against the back of his head and flash his sharp teeth at you and hiss. And, if that works, you better just run. And hide. Hiding is good too.

As kit, all Hollowkit wanted to do was grow up and become a Warrior's apprentice. His parents bickered a lot so they didn't really notice when their son wandered off with his brothers, Zephyrpaw and Frenzypaw. No other cats really cared either. But, when Zephyrpaw attempted to climb too far up a tree without supervision and died, the whole Clan kept a careful eye on Frenzypaw and little Hollowkit. One death was enough, but three? Unheard of an preventable! As his mother, Longrain, grew depressed from the death of her first born, she stopped giving milk and even allowing Hollowkit to touch her. It ripped his World apart, but somehow the little one didn't seem to notice. Instead, he focused even more on becoming a Warrior.
The day he was let out of the heavily guarded nursery, the leader of the Clan assigned Darkfur, Hollowkit's father, to protect his son from harm. Of course, like any good dad, Darkfur allowed the soon-to-be-apprenticed kit go on minor excursions with himself as a guide. Together, they were a happy little pair. That is, until Hollowkit became Hollowpaw. His mentor was to be the leader, Fallingstar (hey, it's better than calling him ONSTAR! xD ). Torn apart from his dad, the newly appointed apprentice spent nearly the entire day out of the camp being taught battle techniques. On the day that Fallingstar was going to teach his apprentice how to hunt, he was taken aback that Hollowpaw already knew.
They were never a close pair. After Fallingstar found out that Darkfur had been teaching Hollowkit nearly everything there was for an apprentice to learn before he even had a mentor, the leader grew angry and frustrated. Instead of allowing Hollowpaw any rest, he kept him away from both of his parents all day on all kinds of odd patrols. Quickly, poor little Hollowpaw started to grow ill and too exhausted to do anything but walk around while pratically sleeping with his eyes open. It was a sad time for him, but Fallingstar was soon found out by his deputy, Chasmfang. Banished from his Clan, Fallingstar left to become a rogue and lost his friends, family, and his entire life.
The new mentor of Hollowpaw, Chasmstar, allowed him rest and time for play. It brightened up dear Hollowpaw and allowed for him to befriend a sweet and shy little she-cat named Honeypaw. She was a pacifist and preferred to spend her time hunting, much like him. They were great friends and he even had a crush on her until the day Hollowpaw caught her stealing prey from another Clan. Disappointed in her so-called 'pacifist..ism', he called her out on the spot and was in the process of chiding her when the other Clan's border patrol spotted them. In a flash, they had torn apart both of the apprentices and Honeypaw was killed in the battle. They left Hollowpaw there on the border to die as they had sliced his underbelly right open. Somehow, through pure luck, the little tom survived when his mentor came to check on him.
It was the saddest moon of his life as he spent much time in the medicine cat's den healing up his major injury. Chasmstar visited daily, as did Darkfur and Longrain, who had recovered from her depression. Frenzyclaw, Hollowpaw's now Warrior brother, also visited on a daily basis. Surrounded by herbs made him go mad with Warrior fever and his heart ached to go out and hunt. To play. To roam freely and go on patrols. Late one of the nights that he spent in that wretched den, he was visited in a dream by Honeypaw, who he had been quite heartbroken over.
"Hollowpaw, have you seen your father lately?" Asked the sweet, glittering she-cat. Her tabby marked pale ginger fur was a sight for his sore, sore eyes. Nodding, he mewed, "Yes, of course. Darkfur was just in here today." A dark expression, much like a wince or a grimace came across Honeypaw's face. Her nose wrinkled and her brow furrowed. "No, Hollowpaw. Your real father." Responded the she-cat of StarClan. Averting her gaze up to the sky, she stared at the falling stars. In an instant, Hollowpaw knew that the former leader and the dark tabby that had mentored him had fathered him. Confusing swept over him as he stared with fear at Honeypaw. Wordlessly, the beautiful she-cat padded over to where Hollowpaw stood and touched her nose to his before she turned around and flew into the sky. She was gone.
After his dream, Hollowpaw grew distraught and nervous of his next visit from Darkfur. Did he know? Obviously Longrain knew, but why had she deceived her so-called mate? Didn't they love each other? Thankfully, the next morning, the medicine cat announced that Hollowpaw could return back to training, but nothing too exhausting. Excited, the little apprentice returned to Chasmstar and finished his Warrior training. He let the dream drift into the back of his mind and took on the name Hollowbrook with a happy smile.
Half a moon later, when he was out on a solo hunting patrol, an odd scent had drifted into the freshly appointed Warrior's mouth and it made him cringe. Some little part of it was familiar. Following it, he was astonished to find Fallingstar, and everything that he had tried to forget came rushing back.
"Hollowpaw. You've grown so big.." The old tom's greeting was a proud one, but his voice cracked with emotion. Was it anger? Depression? Joy? Hollowbrook couldn't decide. Bowing his head to his father, he let his olive eyes meet the same gaze. Surprised, his eyes widened and he wondered how he had missed that detail. It was so obvious! Had the whole Clan noticed long ago? Dispelling those thoughts, he opened his mouth to speak before the awkward silence grew to be too strong. "It's Hollowbrook. And..and what are you doing here?" Mewed the young Warrior with narrowing eyes. "To see you, of course. You do know who I am by now, correct?" Afraid to respond, he turned tail and ran back to his camp, leaving all of his prey behind.
Since that day, Hollowbrook has matured and went through a personality change. He even acquired a strong, secret desire to become a leader like his father. When he eventually accomplished this, he felt proud of how he lived solely for the good of his Clan.
