((Hi guys. First RP post! Anyone can join!))
The darkness of the rain-to-come swarmed around the VentusClan territory. Autumnleaf's paws, despite her fighting them, screamed at her in their pain. They burned and ached horribly, and though she begged them to keep her standing, they simply refused. She sighed, glaring down at her oversized, pregnant stomach as she laid down. She grunted before carefully plopping on the cool cave floor. Ah, that feels good... Her hot, sweaty fur felt cooled by the chill of the floor.
Moving her dark amber eyes up, she saw warriors and apprentices hustling about. Ah, how Autumnleaf loved her job as a warrior. She couldn't wait to pop these kits out of her so she could get back to it. But I can't wait for you, either... She smiled at her orange-white bulge of a stomach, grinning as she felt a small kick against her belly. She had been truly overjoyed when she'd realized that she was pregnant with Hollowstar's kits. The only tom she'd ever really loved, besides her brothers, and a leader nonetheless. And she prayed with all of her heart that she wouldn't disappoint him. I think you're strong. If you're anything like your father or your mother, you're strong... Prayers to the ancestors from Autumnleaf never ceased nowadays.
Searching around, the she-cat felt awfully hungry. She searched for the fresh-kill pile- it was a few fox-tails away. Sighing, she knew she wouldn't be able to get up, so she searched instead for Hollowstar. The only problem with being in love with the leader was that he was horribly busy. But she'd find him soon enough.

HOLLOWSTAR** don't let your worry get your paws in a hurry The chill winds swept across the entrance of the great caverns that served as the camp for VentusClan. His large paws padded quickly over the fresh snow that slickened the stone beneath his paw's rough pads. Cold was one one thing Hollowstar could never get used to. Even with his thick, dark tabby coat luxuriously protecting him from the elements, the frost crept right into his very bones, nesting away, frozen in the very marrow inside of them. Pulling the icy winds into his nose, the young leader was met with the comforting scents of his clanmates, some openly welcoming him back with glee. He'd only left to take a walk for long enough that the sun had silently slipped further across the sky toward its highest point, which seemed short enough to clear one's mind of its stresses.
Though Hollowstar had not seen, scented, or heard any prey in the rocky south border or on the moors, the tom knew there was still enough prey running to keep his Clan well-fed in these cold winter moons. As if to put him even more at ease, his dappled olive gaze swept brilliantly over the well enough stocked fresh-kill pile. Out of the corner of his eye, the tom spotted ginger patches of fur nesting themselves on a fine stretch of ivory fur looking ever so longingly at the food provided for the Clan. His heart leaped as he met the gaze of his loving mate, Autumnleaf, who had always been there for him. The hunger in her eyes was almost tangible, and before he padded toward the she-cat, he grabbed a nice, moderately plump grey mouse from the pile, trapping in his strong jaws only momentarily as he approached her.
His pearly whites just barely pierced the mouse's skin as he gently dropped the piece of prey to the ground in front of the lovely VentusClan queen. "Hungry, are we?" Hollowstar purred as he bent his forepaws slightly and touched noses quickly with Autumnleaf. Her body still swelled from the kits they were expecting, and the leader quickly looked down at the fresh-kill he had brought. "This is probably the best we'll have in moons, Autumnleaf." He mewed, a frown creepy precariously across his displeased maw. With a short sigh, he looked sorrowfully down at her before he sat down just to the left of her, wishing that it was a warm summer day that his kits would be born. But no, winter was just setting in, and comfortably at that. He shivered slightly, before looking expectantly at her, nodding at her politely to eat or to at least say something to put his mind at ease.

OCC; I color my characters' thoughts and actions so I can see them better. I hope ya'll don't mind. ^.^Actions 'Thoughts'"Speech"-------------------"No, Silverwish! The Catnip goes over there!" The she-cat quietly said to herself. She new she had to be stocked up on all of the herbs and berries she could find. Leaf-Bare brought with it lots of sickness, and she had to be ready. "I believe I have everything sorted out now..." She mewed as the turned around to find out she had only sorted half of them. "Dear AstraClan!" She growled at herself as she settled down to sort the other pile. Once she was sure she was done with sorting her herbs and stuff, she headed out of her den and over to the fresh-kill pile. Once there, she picked up a plump mouse and looked over to see Hollowstar and his mate, Autumnleaf, talking. 'I wonder what they could be talking about...' She though as she padded over to the couple. Once she reached them she dropped her mouse. "Hello Hollowstar. Autumnleaf." She meowed and bowed her head at the two cats. "Hows everyone feeling?" She mewed and waited for an answer.

Finally spotting the leader heading in, Autumnleaf felt a familiar stir of delight as the tom came over to her. He brought her some food, and she took only the time to nuzzle him in greeting before devouring the prey. It slid easily into her stomach, and her hunger was instantly satisfied. Turning, she looked into the olive orbs of the russet tom and smiled. The warmth from his fur seemed to radiate into her body, and the cool emanating from the floor seemed to discomfort her now. She leaned closer to him, pressing her own sleek fur against his tabby marks.
Noticing Hollowstar's stress, she bent her head down to his chest and pressed her ear into his fur. Ba-bum, ba-bum, ba-bum beated his heart. It was steady. Something she could always count on to be there. Something that would never deny her or fool her. And it was all hers.
"I love you," she whispered, raising her dark auburn eyes to meet his green ones. "You seem stressed. Typical clan troubles?" Her tone wasn't quite as quiet, but it held the same softness in it. This gentle tone was not foreign, but rarely used by the outgoing she-cat.
Her ears perking, the queen's trance was shattered only slightly as the medicine cat came over. Though she preferred to be with Hollowstar alone, she would never deny the presence of the medicine cat. Getting him alone was practically impossible as well. So the queen waved her tale behind her in greeting as she smiled kindly at Silverwish. Her body still pressed against Hollowstar's the queen dipped her head respectfully to the young medicine cat.
"Hello, Silverwish," she said. Her tone was not as soft, rather natural- pure Autumnleaf. "We're doing just fine. Preparing for the delivery, I guess."

HOLLOWSTAR** it's like forgetting the words to your favorite song His dark body was nearly entwined with the beautiful titian and ivory she-cat that lay before him. As she pressed her head into his side, he leaned his head down and nuzzled her once more. Autumnleaf was just about the only comforting thing left in his life. The lives of every single cat in his Clan depended on him more now than ever, and this troubled the young leader. It hadn't been but a few leaf-bares ago that he was made a leader, and prey had never been this scarce. He could worry all he wanted, but just thinking about the possibilities VentusClan had wouldn't amount to anything but stress. Autumnleaf's low, sweet words made the tom's soft gaze meet hers. "Yes, typical Clan troubles, I suppose." Uttered the tom, so distracted he had missed his mate's short declaration of love. He loved her as much as he could. Her love for him was enough to soothe his typical troubles, but today's felt different.
It was then his medicine cat, who had barely lived even half of Hollowstar's own moons, approached and chimed in a polite hello to the couple. Dipping his head in greeting, the tabby tom opened his maw and mewed. "Hello to you too, Silverwish." His ears pricked at Autumnleaf's change in town, it was all the tom could do but laugh. Glancing down at her, he flicked his tail lightly across her lips. It wouldn't be wise to get Silverwish in a fluster with a kitting so soon. Heart swelling at the though of his kin curled up inside his mate, the tom smiled once more, but then grew serious as he had to be in the early onset of leaf-bare. "I feel well, but... I'm getting a little worried about the amount of prey. We've had very little since last leaf-bare, and hungry Warriors are unhappy Warriors." Worry was most definitely present in his hushed, husky tone as he conversed with his medicine cat.

Actions 'Thoughts'"Speech"------------------- "Hello, Silverwish, we're doing just fine. Preparing for the delivery, I guess."Autumnleaf's tone kind of offended the young cat. She wasn't used to this rough voice of her's. She stared at the she-cat for a moment before speaking. "Good. I'm glad your pregnancy is going so well." She semi-forced a smile onto her lips, trying to look as if the cat's voice had no effect on her. "Hello to you too, Silverwish. I feel well, but... I'm getting a little worried about the amount of prey. We've had very little since last leaf-bare, and hungry Warriors are unhappy Warriors." "Don't stress to much. It could rub off onto your Warriors, and stressed Warriors are unhappy Warriors too. I'm sure they'll be able to find enough prey to get us through the leaf-bare. I'm worried most about the sicknesses that leaf-bare brings. Most aren't fatal, but you can never be too sure." She smiled and purred. Hollowstar made her happy. Not 'in love' happy though. She felt as though she had a strong friendship with her leader. 'I wonder what's gotten Autumnleaf's tail today. She doesn't seem as though she's in a very good mood.' She thought. She forced a sneeze to shake the confused look off of her face. "I'll be heading back to my den now. I just hope the wind gusts haven't blown the herbs around my den!" She bowed at the two cats and half-walked and half-pranced back to her den. Once there she crouched and began crunching on her mouse.

The reaction to Autumnleaf's tone was not what the queen had expected. It wasn't like it was unusual, it was just the way she was with anyone but Hollowstar. She tried not to roll her eyes at the startled reaction of the medicine cat, and succeeded only barely. Her mate flicked his tail across her muzzle, and she stared at him bluntly, a tinge of playfulness in her eyes. What? she thought, her auburn gaze piercing him. It's just the way I speak.
Autumnleaf's tom boy personality was never well-accepted. She was often thought of as rude or unruly. Being raised with so many brothers certainly changed her, but she would never live with herself if she were frilly and pink. Her favorite thing was her job- the one that her pregnancy was keeping her from. The medicine cat before her was never in Autumnleaf's favor. Then again, few were. Hollowstar was truly the only cat she liked to spend so much time with. Not that she wasn't social, her personality was just a little strong. A bit too strong, to those who prefered it straight and sweet. They should talk to a kit if they want anything but the hard truth, she thought, turning her head back to the young medicine cat.
Young, young she was. Too young for Autumnleaf. Too inexperienced. And yet she spoke with such confidence, as if she knew what she were talking about. The queen forced a smile as apposed to a scowl, hoping it would cover up her "unpleasentness". "Don't stress to much. It could rub off onto your Warriors, and stressed Warriors are unhappy Warriors too. I'm sure they'll be able to find enough prey to get us through the leaf-bare. I'm worried most about the sicknesses that leaf-bare brings. Most aren't fatal, but you can never be too sure." The medicine cat spoke as if she was in the position to lecture. She's an apprentice, and yet she thinks she's top-notch because she made it to her position before expected. Autumnleaf thought, before forcing the negative mind-set away. She's helpful, and... she's sweet... The queen erased all discomfort from her face, pleasentness forcing its way into her expression.
"All right, well don't be a stranger," she said calmly, unable to keep her usual edge out of her voice. Curing herself for sounding rude, she gave the she-cat a smile. She didn't mean to be rude, and she wasn't, it just may have sounded odd to the she-cat.
