Froststripe has very pale green eyes and short, thick grey fur with dark black stripes. He has a touch of brown just above his nose, and a splash of white on his muzzle. He has four white paws and a white tail-tip. His belly fur is a lighter grey with fainter stripes. He is a lean and muscular cat, somewhat small, but strong and fast. The tip of his right ear is missing, having been clawed off in battle. He also has a long thin scar on his left hindquarter and walks with a slight limp, more memories of battle.
{ P } E R S O N A L I T Y:
Froststripe is quiet and reserved, and cares deeply about the elders. He always gives the elders his best catch and will not hesitate to do apprentice chores for the sake and well-being of the elders. He values elders, quiet, his Clan, and knowledge. He wants to be the best deputy he can and wants to serve his Clan to the best of his abilities. He would like to become the Clan leader one day, but hopefully not any time soon. He likes hunting, serving his Clan, and peace and quiet. He dislikes chaos and confusion, needless bloodshed, and trespassers. He is protective, honest, and fiercely loyal, but is small for a tom, has a slight limp and his injury sometime bothers him, and he doesn’t always think things through before he acts.
{ H } I S T O R Y:
Froststripe is a VentusClan cat, born and bred. His parents were loyal VentusClan cats who died bravely in battle. It was in this same battle that Froststripe obtained the nick in his ear and the scar on his thigh, as well as his slight limp. It was his bravery and courage in the battle, where he risked his life to save others, that led to him being appointed deputy.
As a kit, Froststripe was quiet and reserved. Instead of nagging the warriors, he would sit with the elders while they told him stories from long ago. He would always sit wide-eyed, quietly taking in every detail. His littermates used to tease him for spending so much time with the elders, but he didn't care. When he was apprenticed, he would always change the elders' bedding without complaint, and would always bring them his best kill. He never complained about checking the elders for fleas and ticks, because it was a good opportunity for another story.
When Froststripe became a warrior, he had been close to the elders for seasons. He made it his personal duty to make sure they were well cared for, and still gave them his best kills. When one of the elders died, Froststripe was devastated. He sat vigil by the elder's side all night, and when the sun rose, he gently carried her body out of the clearing and to the burial spot. He refused help from the other elders and dug the grave himself while the elders watched. He gently lowered her into the hole, saying his last goodbyes, before filling the grave with dirt. He then went hunting to clear his mind, and like always, brought his best catch to the elders.
During the battle that killed his parents, Froststripe saved the lives of numerous elders, many of them from other Clans. He managed to get them all to a safe spot while fighting off enemies. He was herding the last of the elders to safety when a large tom barreled into him. Froststripe battled with him, but the other tom was much larger and heavier. He soon found himself pinned to the ground by the tom's heavy bulk. Before the tom could deliver a killing blow, Froststripe felt his weight disappear. Froststripe sprang to his paws, bleeding heavily from a deep wound on his thigh. He saw all of the elders swarming over and overpowering the enemy tom. Froststripe joined them, and with their combined efforts they were able to send him fleeing, yowling in agony. Froststripe thanked the elders and got them back to a safe place before rejoining the battle. It was this selfless act that helped him become deputy.

Froststripe padded silently through the forest. He kept all his senses alert for signs of prey. It wasn’t long before he caught the scent of a squirrel. He crouched, creeping forward slowly. His pale green eyes spotted the squirrel eating between the roots of a large oak tree. He inched forward, then pounced, landing squarely on the squirrel and delivering a quick killing bite, sending up a swift thanks to AstraClan.
The grey tabby tom made his way back across the territory to the caves that served as the VentusClan camp. When he made it into camp, he noticed that Hollowstar had called a Clan meeting. He dropped his squirrel onto the fresh-kill pile before making his way past the cats to stand near his leader. The young deputy listened intently as Hollowstar ordered a patrol to go to an abandoned badger set that apparently had been re-inhabited. As the leader finished speaking, Froststripe stood. He called a few of the best warriors to him, and the patrol set out to deal with the badger.
The cats raced over the land to the badger set. Froststripe slowed as they neared, flagging his tail to warn the others. He opened his mouth and tasted the air. There is definitely a badger here, he thought. He gave a signal to the others to stay back and he went investigate. The badger seemed to be in the den, possibly sleeping. He noticed two entrances, and an idea came to him. He crawled back to the patrol.
“The badger is in the den. There are two exits, so we will divide and conquer.” He divided the cats, and continued to explain the plan. “We will trap the badger inside. One group will storm the den, forcing the badger to the other exit. That’s when the other group will attack. Understand? Good. Let’s go.”
Froststripe took up his position, and once all cats were in position, he and another tom started yowling loudly before racing into the den. The badger ran to the other exit, where the other cats blocked its path. The cats attacked from both sides, quickly weakening the badger. Eventually, the badger escaped, heading toward IgnisClan territory.
“No! We can’t let that badger escape!” Froststripe gave chase, the patrol racing at his heels. The deputy leapt onto the bager’s back, sinking his teeth into the beast’s neck. The other cats delivered deadly blows, and it wasn’t long before the badger fell to the ground, dead. The cats backed away, blood spattering their pelts.
“Is any cat injured?” When the other cats responded with ‘no’s, Froststripe relaxed. “Let’s get back to camp and tell Hollowstar.” The grey tabby turned and started making his way back to camp, limping slightly as he ran. When one of the she-cats asked if he had been injured, he shook his head. “No, it’s just and old injury that was aggravated by the battle.” He ran on, trying to ignore the pain in his left hindquarter. By the time the cats made it back to camp, Froststripe’s limp was more pronounced. He made his way to Hollowstar’s den, informing him that the badger was dead and that no cat had been injured.
Froststripe grabbed a mouse from the fresh-kill pile after Hollowstar dismissed him and lay down in a corner of the central cave to eat. After his meal, he curled up on the hard stone for a nap. The cold stone numbed his injured hindquarter, and he swiftly succumbed to sleep.
