The Basics!
1. Do not be rude to anyone out of character. I know we have those days, but let's try to be kind. If you have a bone to pick with someone, do it elsewhere. Flame on MSN or leave it to just PMs. I don't want to have to give one or both of you the boot because of rude behavior.
2. Do not disrespect someone's race, religion, gender, or sexuality. If you do disrespect them for those reasons, I will personally delete your account. Even if you're not familiar with what they are, learn about it before you take the opinion of a stereotype or friend.
3. Be open to other member's ideas. After all, that's the point of roleplaying sites! You each have a different interpretation of the Warriors series and your own characters. Just please, be open-minded.
4. Please post a minimum of three times a week. I don't care if it's in character or out of character. Active members form an active and happy roleplaying community, and that's exactly why I made Chasing Stars.
5. Be mindful of others. Join in on the open threads posted by new or old members! Everyone wants to roleplay, so don't exclude anyone!
Characters!
1. The set limit of characters, as of right now, is five. They should all be on one account as this site is one account per member. All characters should be kept active, or you will be reminded by staff to roleplay them all. If needed, you may retire a character for a short amount of time or indefinitely.
2.a Names are sometimes a touchy subject, but I like original names that have a nice ring to them. For instance, most traditional sites would not allow the prefix Butterfly. Here, I would allow the prefix Butterfly if it was used in correspondence with a suffix that makes sense. i.e. Butterflywing. The only name that I can think of that wouldn't be allowed is Star as a prefix. Please keep all names in English for Clan cats, but go wild for Clanless!
2.b I'm very lenient with names. I go by what the parents felt, saw, or wanted to name their children. I do not go strictly and word for word by the way Erin Hunter named the cats in the books. In fact, I believe that the names in the books are quite lackluster. If you disagree, then make cats with traditional names. Or, quite simply, refrain from joining.
3. Please use the code in the character creation board when making your cats. Feel free to spice it up, but don't go overboard. We want to learn about your cat, not how blinding or beautiful you can make its bio!
Posting!
1. While there is not set word limit, this is not an excuse to slack every post. If you're not into lengthy posts, that's okay! Roleplaying is strictly about quality, not quantity. I don't want to know what every little hair on your cat's body did when the breeze ran through it. Nor do I want to know exactly how you ate that vole and how the leaves falling from the trees came fluttering down to the ground. What I do want to know is how your cat feels, what they're doing, and what they feel obliged to think or say.
2. As per the Proboards ToS, this a PG-13 site. Absolutely no pornographic material should be put onto the forum. That's images and text. No sexual content or rape should be described. Fade to black for mating processes, please. No PMs should contain this material either. If I find out about any, your account will be deleted immediately.
3.a Please post in character with each of your cats within two weeks. One week would be even better. Do not steal content from others! Create your own beautiful post with your own words and coding.
3.b Tables are not allowed. In fact, anything besides coding, is not allowed. On the past sites that I have been a member on, tables have intimidated newer members and older members alike. I do not like being intimidated, and I don't want any of this on my own site.
4 Do not feel obliged to match your partner(s) posts exactly. If they've put out a long, beautiful post and you find yourself unable to, give them what you can. Most sites die because of shyness or lack of muse, but if you keep posting, the site will never die.
